The music Eddie Van Halen wrote and performed was nothing short of otherworldly, riffs like the intro of "Hear About It Later" always really spoke to me on another level. While he absolutely transformed electric guitar as we know it, his magical mastery (check out "Spanish Fly") and joy of playing showed through even when unplugged. RIP Eddie, you will never be forgotten.
