I was lucky enough to see the Oscar winning 20 Feet From Stardom when it came out in a movie theater several years ago, and I still get chills every time I watch it. The film shines a light on a variety of background singers whose voices are easily recognizable even if you don't know their names. These incredibly powerful and versatile vocalists, people like Darlene Love, Merry Clayton and Lisa Fischer, all tell their stories of how they left their mark on music, while singing their hearts out and enduring the ups and downs of life.
