As much as I truly love performing, songwriting is the essential reason why I make music. I had the privilege of meeting up with fellow New Yorker Steve Dorff on my last trip to Nashville, and his candid and inspiring book, I Wrote That One, Too..., is a mad, magical recap of his life as a songwriter.
